Brand Ambassadors vs Disengaged Employees?


I got the above infographic in the email just before SHRM and had it starred for several reasons. The first is that I have several smart friends who think that employee engagement is really less about surveys and rewards and more about accountability. Which, I can genuinely get behind. I think if more adults had accountability in their lives, the world would be a much better place, and that transcends the workplace. The second is because engagement was a hot topic at SHRM 2012, both on and off the expo floor with vendors like Baudville, Achievers and more giving out white papers and information on an engaged workplace. Finally, I thought the title was interesting in that is placed disengaged employees on the opposite end of “brand ambassadors”. What do you think?
